Of the Thirteenth Week in Ordinary Time

• Matthew 15:21-28 Beloved, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, given that Jesus Christ saw Nathanael, whom the Apostle Philip searched out and said to him, "We have found him, of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." Yes, the Lord Christ Jesus did see Nathanael sitting under the fig tree before Philip told him of the Christ, the Nazarene. Since, the Lord Jesus had this sight to see Nathanael, under the tree. How can we doubt that he also knew what the Canaanite woman wanted even before she asked. Yes, that Jesus was testing her, and revealing herself to herself – she was becoming aware of who she herself was and how God the Heavenly Father saw her! Moreover Christians, the Lord Jesus knew of her great faith, and that her faith would be readily seen and realized, by the Apostles and disciples as she address the Lord with reverence, saying: in truth Lord but even the dogs eat the scraps and crumbs that fall in gleaning and cleaning. Then Christians, as the Lord Jesus always does, he pointed out and exposed the great faith; yes, the faith that this Canaanite woman was living. Jesus, our Lord then said unto her, "Woman of great faith, let it be done to you as you would have it become and witnessed." Now Christians, the testimony is that the Canaanite's daughter was healed that hour, and since we have always believed that this daughter was healed, clearly we too are showing a certain faith. Whether it is faith to move mountains, only the Lord Jesus knows this. Still, it is a certain faith, nonetheless. Now Christians let us look to the Book of Jeremiah, and this testimony. When we read this statement, "That God will be the God of the tribe of Israel," it can sound — in human terms — as almost covetous, but it is not covetous; it is that God is jealous for the tribe of Israel to know the truth and he is not going to let them believe the lie. Again, it is God telling through the Prophet Jeremiah that although you prefer darkness, there is no truth in you or in darkness, and any charming that you may do to deceive and to convince yourselves and others that you have any goodness is darkness pretending to be light. Jesus testifies this: we are known by our fruits, by our doings, our works and not by the charming and hypocritical polite words that we may speak. Jesus testifies that a good tree cannot bring forth bad fruit and in the same manner, a corrupt tree cannot bring forth good fruit. Saying, every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Yes, verily, indeed each of us are known not by our eloquence of language but by whether our works are in accordance with Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life, the Gospel of repentance for the remission and forgiveness of sin. Now Christian harken to this testimony from the Lord Jesus Christ and from the Apostle James: James testifies, "That the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God: that man's wrath cannot bring forth God the Heavenly Father's righteousness. Then the Lord Jesus tells us this prophecy in the understanding of the parable of the wheat and the tares: Jesus testified the good word of God by and through his gospel of repentance. Then, the devil did sow the false words – the lies of life that sin is acceptable to God the Heavenly Father. Yes, Christians, some people choose to prefer the darkness while others first seek the kingdom of heaven and the Heavenly Father's righteousness. Still, it is Christ Jesus who will send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom all the things that offend, and them who do iniquity; then these shall be cast into a furnace of fire: where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Truly, Christians, remember the burning bush: the fire that was fire but did not consume the bush, and then you can realize that yes the furnace will be an unquenchable lake of fire that burns but does not consume and that there is wailing and gnashing of teeth. Still, none of this can be or is done by humankind. For again, man's wrath cannot and does not produce God's righteousness. Instead we are called to do justice, testify to the Gospel of repentance, and know with certainty that the Holy Spirit does convict us of sin, convinces we have sin, reproves us of sin, exposes our sinfulness and shows us our errors in the light of Christ Jesus. So therefore Christians, now when we read this statement that God will be the God of the tribes of Israel, we know that it is God the Creator saying: I am going to show you the truth of life — in a way that you cannot deny the truth, and then if you choose the lie – like Satan did choose the lie, you too then will be condemned to eternity's hell fires as is Lucifer the fallen angel. Now, as we move forward, Christians, we should realize that these verses, from this testimony in the Book of Jeremiah, are from the pretty chapters, and they are only one part of who and what God is in truth and substance. Christians, we can come to understand, from reading in the Book of Jeremiah; that this testimony is where God has fulfilled the promise that the Israelite's ancestors gave to God on the plains of Moab, right before the Israelites entered Canaan, and this was about 1400 years before Jesus Christ was born. Again, God the Heavenly Father was patient for about 800, eight hundred years. To put that into certain perspective: America has just now celebrated its 250th birthday, so three times the amount of time. Clearly, God was very patient with the Israelites. Again, so there is no misunderstanding; the reason God allowed the dispersion is because the Israelites were not living in the way, the truth, and the life according to God the Heavenly Father. Rather, they were living like Sodom and Gomorrah, but even worse according to Isaiah. They were committing adultery house to house; there was fornication and the unnatural acts they did – God calls them an abomination in His sight; there was prostitution street to street and the Israelite women paid men from several nations to come into them. They were sacrificing their children, passing them through fire, which is committing idolatry. Still, this was not the only act of idolatry because they served other false gods too and reprobated themselves: by calling the profane holy and the holy profane. Now Christians, let us pray that we see things in the true light of Christ Jesus's gospel and not for our convenience, but so that we will walk and live in the truth that Christ Jesus did bring to humankind. To remember, Jesus said this following and he did not say it because everything is light and without consequences, testifying: the person who loves their life in this world will lose it; and the person who hates their life in this world shall keep it unto eternal life. We can rightly say that this testimony is also of: the making mammon an idol and serving mammon – loving this life as a god. Instead of serving the only true God the Lord Jesus Christ, he being one with God the Heavenly Father. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

Of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time

• Matthew 18:15-20 Beloved, Christians, we are most fortunate that the Lord Christ Jesus says: if your brother sins against -- instead of saying: when your brother sins against. For in this simple difference of distinction there is hope. Now Christians, of this next line paraphrased, it may help us understand the same thing in a more precise meaning. For the Lord Jesus is saying, go and talk with your brethren and ask them what he or she means, in doing this thing that they have done unto you! Also, pointedly, we may question; neighbor, have you not read that God calls this thing you are doing sin! So now, Christians, we get this text: if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. On the side of this statement, we may also explain: that when the word says brother, it is not being partial toward only males -- who may have sinned against us but it most certainly includes females who may have sinned against us. Clearly Christians, the Apostle Paul has put all ambiguities to settled rest, between males and females. For both male and female are equally responsible for the truth in the Lord Christ Jesus. Yet, God by nature and by His word has made human beings uniquely male or uniquely female -- both with their own nature and roles in His kingdom and His creation and in life. Yet, we most certainly cannot look to a pride of lions or other animals God created to understand the distinct roles of a human male or female. For to do such a thing is to lower ourselves to the role of sentient animals of that sort instead of being the sapient human creatures of unique personhood whom God created in his own image. Now Christians as we first seek the kingdom of heaven and the Heavenly Father's Righteousness; let us, remember that Christ Jesus's gospel is spirit and life and it is the words and teachings of God the Heavenly Father, the creator of all things. Now, even though we know that some men prefer darkness, and humankind can cause trouble for other humans in this world, but God's word cannot be supplanted. Truly, heaven and earth will pass away while God's word will last forever. Yes, Christians, we are to first seek to mend faults, if our brethren has sinned against us – for this is truly: doing the actual work of first seeking the kingdom of heaven and the Heavenly Father's Righteousness. Moreover, we are to remember what Christ Jesus testified: if you bring your gift to the alter and remember a fault between you and your brother leave your gift before the alter, and go; first mend that fault, and then return to offer your gift to God with a clear conscience. Still, in this we must remember that God the Heavenly Father made us creatures of free will and we are image-bearers of this truth; therefore, if we do not allow another person's desires to control us -- this is not doing an unrighteousness or an ungodly thing against God; it is not sinning against God. Yes, Christians, we are to yield our lives to the Lord Christ Jesus; we are to yield our members as instruments of righteousness to the Lord Christ Jesus, as those who are alive in Christ Jesus but whose flesh is crucified on the cross of Christ Jesus. Still, yielding our will to another man's will or desires will make us slaves or vessels of that person and not what the Lord Jesus Christ calls us to be. We are to be righteous by faith; we are to live in the liberty that Christ Jesus did bring to humankind. We are to remain in Christ Jesus's gospel and continue in his gospel becoming His disciples knowing the truth and being free because of his gospel of spirit and life. So now reflecting again on this testimony in Matthew: we are to go to our brother and communicate to them about this sin they have sin against you. If they listen all is good, and be filled with the lovingkindness of Christ Jesus's Gospel. However, if they do not listen, then take another with you and try to communicate again, and if this does not work bring with you the entire Church. However, if your brother still refuses to hear you, we are to do the charitable-loving thing, the righteousness of God's word. For our brethren is no longer behaving as our brethren but has broken faith and broken the covenant of God the Lord Christ Jesus. Therefore, because if this – their choosing of sin and sinfulness, we are to bind in heaven this sin they do and then in agreement with our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, we are to live in the peace that Christ Jesus did bring unto us, a peace that goes beyond all understanding. Now, Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

Of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time

• Matthew 20:1-16 Christians breathe in deeply, for several moments, and acknowledge, to your hearts and minds, and your soul and in your strength Jesus Christ as Lord, Son of God the Most High the Heavenly Father the creator of all things. Then in Christ Jesus's peace and His complete joy let us look to learn from his parable of the Kingdom of heaven is like a land owner. Let us go directly to how the Lord Jesus ties together this Parable of the Land Owner, and then work our way through it, Jesus recording: verily indeed, for at judgment -- for entrance into the kingdom of heaven, we will not be known by our length of service but whether our service was of righteousness of faith. Meaning did we repent and believe in the Gospel of the Lord Christ Jesus as given unto us by the Lord Jesus and recorded by His Apostles and disciples and by the Apostle Paul or have we believed in our own perceived goodness and imaginations of what the Gospel, and the Letters of the Apostle's testify unto us. For example: Saint John, Apostle testifies thus: whosoever transgresses and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, this person does not have God. In addition, the person who abides in the doctrine of Christ, this person has both God the Heavenly Father and the Son the Lord Christ Jesus. Now, the Apostle John continues in the word, testifying: If there come "any" unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, (a house meaning: into the church. Also, do not let those with a false doctrine into the church, your house, for such doctrine is to be accursed. For no other doctrine other than the Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John and what Saint Paul brought and testified, along with the universal letters of Peter, Jude, James, and John is to be received. All other doctrine is to be accursed and is to be anathema)! Then the Apostle John testified; the person who brings false doctrine is not to be bidden God speed: for the person that bids such an individual God speed is a partaker of their evil deeds; this then is what the Apostle John testifies. Now let us look at what the Lord Jesus testifies: Jesus testifies in the gospel of John that he did give unto his disciples the words and teachings that God the Heavenly Father gave to him to bring to humankind, and that the Apostles and the disciples did believe the gospel of spirit and life: as the Apostle Peter says, where else may we go Lord Jesus you have the gospel of eternal life. Then the next line that the Lord Jesus Christ testifies is something that is shocking -- to the everybody is welcome individuals and the let us make Christ Jesus's Gospel into our own image, individuals. For the Lord Christ Jesus testifies: that he prays for his disciples but that he does not pray for the world. Again, Jesus testifies that he prays for the individuals that God the Heavenly Father gave unto him, but that he does not pray for the world. Jesus saying this simple thing: for all who God the Heavenly Father gave to him are his and what is his is also God the Heavenly Father's, and that Jesus is glorified in them. Now do not misunderstand this, Christ Jesus being glorified by His who belong to him. For as God the Heavenly Father said to Moses in the desert – that he was going to destroy them all for their disobediences and their stiff-neck hardhearted behavior, but that Moses for the love of his brethren pleaded for their lives and God repented. This also inspires us to the testimony where John the Baptist testifies, and the fact that this is John the Baptist's testimony tells us that indeed John is speaking about the very stones at the bank of the River Jordan where he was baptizing. Yes, that God can raise children unto Abraham from the very stones at his feet and the Baptist is not limiting God to physical descent or tribal identity, but Saint John the Baptist does call us unto and testifies repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Then, too, we have the Apostle Paul confirm and record about the testimony of entrance into the kingdom of heaven is only through the Lord Jesus Christ and in Christ Jesus by and through righteousness of faith. For the Apostle Paul wrote: look to what I am saying: am I trying to persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be a servant of the Lord Christ Jesus. Yes, Christians, as we consider this testimony in the Gospel of Matthew, we see that it is not the time of day or the time of our life that is important, but that it is the time that we were called. Yes, Christians, he that has ears to hear, let him hear and today, if we do hear his voice, if the word of God is speaking to your heart and mind, harden not your heart against Christ Jesus's gospel of spirit and life, but rather repent and first seek his kingdom and the Heavenly Father's Righteousness. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

Of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time
• 2 Thessalonians 3:6-10 & 16-18

• Matthew 23:27-32 Christians, by show the scribes and Pharisees presented a polished picture for appearance; however, the inside of them was not filled with the words of life and commandments and statutes God the Heavenly Father gave unto them; they being meant for life, and life more abundantly. Yes, Christians and we have the Lord Jesus Christ as witness to this. For indeed, God the Heavenly Father did send His Word unto humankind – in the form of His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Blessed Virgin Mary, so as to have life and to have it more abundantly. Still, do not be indulged by the spirit of temptations. For it is not with darkness nor sin nor the lust of the flesh that are of an abundant life: for truly, those things lead to death; for death is their wage. Rather, it is by being filled with the word of God, by keeping the words and teachings -- that the Lord Jesus Christ did bring unto us, where we become one: Christ Jesus being of God the Heavenly Father and we being of the Lord Christ Jesus – that we also may be one with God the Heavenly Father and the Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Bless us Holy Spirit to be and live in Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life. Yes, Christians, beware and woe to those who present a beautiful picture on the outside, but who are in the inside full of dead men's bones and every kind of filth. Now therefore, Christians, let us examine and look at -- this every kind of filth -- with that the scribes and Pharisees were filled. Again, they presented themselves as polished pictures: articulate but with answers that were hollow yet appeased the people, and we know this because when Jesus the Christ testified -- all the people and even the scribes and Pharisees recognized his testimony as the voice of authority. What other kinds of filth were they filled with? let us borrow a line of Scripture for Isaiah testifies: they were worse than Sodom and Gomorrah and in those towns and cities -- five in total -- there were not five honest men, women, or children; therefore, these were the kinds of filth that the Lord Jesus was referring: they stole the temple offerings, like too did the sons of Eli the prophet. Although, Eli's sons did not fall over dead immediately -- like in some cartoon for stealing temple taxes -- as did Aaron son's, for their idolatry. Nonetheless, Eli's sons did die a horrible death as did Eli the Prophet of God, for not rightly correcting his sons. Furthermore, Christians, the Lord Jesus told in simile this teaching -- testifying in God the Heavenly Father's righteousness, the truth, that the scribes as Pharisees appeared righteous, or in other words: they pretended in vanity to be upright and forthright and to be of light and goodness but this was only on their outside: for their inside painted a completely different picture, they were filled with every kind of hypocrisy and evildoing: again, they were all smiles on the outside while inside they were crafting every kind of evil doing against others. Christians, from the word of God we know that we are not to devise or imagine evil against our brothers and sisters, but that we are to work to bring forth Christ Jesus's justice, first seeking the kingdom of heaven and the Heavenly Father's righteousness. We know that we are to speak truth to our neighbor and as the Apostle Paul testifies: we are to as much as possible, as much as exists in our hearts and minds, live peaceably with all men with our neighbors. Still, Christians this hope, this effort, this making of every effort to live peaceably with our neighbors in no way diminishes the fact that Christ Jesus did not come unto us to bring peace, but a sword. For in no way is the Apostle Paul testifying that we are to compromise the truth of Christ Jesus's gospel and take on the idolatry of other nations so that we may live peaceably with them: we are only to do as much as possible to live peaceably with all men. Still, to achieve this peace, in no way are we to be false to the Lord Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life. Christ Jesus's Gospel being the word that will judge all humankind, when the Lord Jesus comes again to judge the living and the dead. Yes Christians, in this testimony from Mathew, we see that the scribes and the Pharisees are doing as Jesus Christ testified -- with their lips they honored God, but with their hearts and minds they did not honor God. Mainly, they presented themselves as splendid individuals, people of integrity and truth, but that was just the outward appearance. Truly, the Lord Jesus testifies of this, saying: take heed, be aware and be watchful, making sure that the light that is in us is not darkness, knowing a person not only by their public deeds but their entire lives of deeds. In other words Christians, let us make sure that we are not giving place to sin and sinfulness, but that we are calling for the repentance of sin and the believing of Christ Jesus's gospel of spirit and life. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ let us pray and be thankful. Amen.
