Of the Fifth Week of Easter

• Acts 15:1-6
• Psalms 122:1-5
• John 15:4-5
• John 13:1-8
Christians can a church be off the vine that is Christ Jesus -- as also, an individual be off Christ Jesus's vine and believe themselves to be still on the vine; yet, Christ Jesus testifies otherwise! Do we not see; have we not heard; do we not know that some churches contend that other churches are not in accordance with Christ Jesus's Gospel, so in other words they are off the vine. Jesus, the Christ testifies that he is the true vine and that His Father, God the Heavenly Father is the true vine grower. Jesus testifies that unless we remain in him that we cannot bear good fruits. At this point Christians, let us remember a teaching from the Apostle Paul, Saint and then, we will come back to this prayer, continuing and abiding in the word and seeking to discern in accordance with God the Heavenly Father's Prophets, laws, and his righteousness that is now made manifest in the Holy Spirit, namely the Gospel of the Lord Christ Jesus. We read that Paul the Apostle testifies that we are to bring all thoughts and all imaginations under the authority of Christ Jesus's Gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of sin and sinfulness; therefore, this being an active bringing-thing, an active-choice, we know with certainty that to remain on the vine of Christ Jesus, we must bear fruits that are of the Lord Christ Jesus. Now Christians, these fruits are charity-love, joy, faithfulness, goodness, kindness, gentleness, generosity, and self-control – Saint Paul testifies against such things there is no law. Still, the fruits of Christ Jesus is also the repentance of our sin and sinfulness. Whereas, the Apostle Paul, Saint also testifies; if we are walking in the Spirit, then we do not fulfill the lust of the flesh: for the flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh; therefore, these: the fulfillment of the flesh and the living in accordance with the spirit are contrary to one another, so that we cannot do the things that we would or as Saint Paul testifies, elsewhere: that we used to walk according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, which is the spirit that now is working in the children of disobedience. Now Christians see also this: the works of the flesh are manifest and this following list are the works of the flesh: adultery, fornication, uncleanness—abomination, lasciviousness--the selling ourselves to sin, idolatry, which is disobedience to God's word, witchcraft, hatred, variance--those things that are not natural, emulations—not living according to Christ Jesus's gospel but living according to false doctrines -- through many sources, wrath—man's wrath does not bring about God's righteousness, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of the things that the Apostle Paul, Saint has testified several times, and Saint Paul, Apostle testifies the person that has the fruits of the flesh will no way enter in to the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, if we will not even enter into the kingdom of heaven, we will also not be standing before Christ Jesus to receive our reward for we will already be condemned. Still, giving praise to God the Heavenly Father and His angels, and knowing that the glory and the power that are His are His alone: yet, we also know that Christ Jesus was made to be sin for humankind, and that Jesus, the Son of Mary, the Nazarene was a perfect sacrifice for our sins and sinfulness. This said: understand this, Christians; yes, Christ Jesus is a perfect sacrifice for all of our sins, but to receive this grace from Christ Jesus's sacrifice we must repent of our sin, which means to turn away from our sinfulness and go and sin no more. It also means that we must be born from above, we must be born from God, and this grace does not come from any man, any person, any priest, president, congressperson, ambassador, king, prime minister; for this grace only comes from God, the Lord Christ Jesus! So now with all this said Christians, let us return to Christ Jesus's teaching about remaining in him, as he remains in us – this, Christ Jesus remaining in us is through the Holy Spirit and through being born from above, being born from God is how Christ Jesus remains in us. Therefore, again Christians, the Apostle Paul, Saint testifies that we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling: fear of God and trembling that we may not repent rightly. Being saved by grace is not a light thing: like chewing bubble gum or a walk in the park; rather, it is a most serious thing of fear and trembling. Moreover, it is through the Holy Spirit and with complete devotion to the Lord Christ Jesus, Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of God. Then Yes, Jesus Christ will come to judge every person according to their deeds and their works with no man standing between you and God: we all must face judgment for our lives alone. Again, as Christ Jesus's Gospel testifies: any person who does not remain in his Gospel of spirit and life, the words and teachings -- God the Heavenly Father gave to His Son, the Lord Christ Jesus to bring unto humankind, so that we may remain and abide in God's word, becoming Christ Jesus's disciples, knowing the truth and being free: these who do not remain or abide will be thrown out like a withered branch. These branches will be gathered at judgment, and they will be cast into the unquenchable hell fires to be condemn and tortured for eternity: for some preferred the darkness instead of seeking the light of men--the Lord Christ Jesus. One more thing here Christians; Jesus testifies if we abide in him and his word that whatever we ask of God the Heavenly Father that it shall be done for us. The thing is Christians, if we ask for things of the flesh God is not going to bring these things or if we ask for things that do not abide in Christ Jesus or his word, God will not bring these things unto us. For we are to work for the meat that endures unto everlasting life not things that will cause us to perish. Christians, the Apostle John, Saint testifies this: For all that is of the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of God the Heavenly Father, but is of the world. Moreover, the world is passing away, and also the lust thereof; yet, the person that does the Will of God the Heavenly Father abides forever. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

Of the Sixth Week of Easter

• Acts 17:15 & 22--18:1
• Psalms 148:1-2 & 11-14
• John 14:16
• John 16:12-15
Christians with fear and trembling work out your salvation in the Lord Christ Jesus, knowing that he loves us in truth, but also knowing that no person can come to the Lord Jesus, unless God the Heavenly Father has called them: and no one can go to God the Father except through the Son, the Lord Christ Jesus. Yes, the Lord Christ Jesus loves us, but his love does not indulge sin: we are to repent and believe in the Gospel of spirit and life. Yes, Christians we are to be transformed by and through Christ Jesus's Gospel and the baptism of the Holy Spirit – not merely attend a service or nod politely or agree intellectually, but being born from God, a transformed heart through repentance, and through seeking the kingdom of heaven and the Heavenly Father's righteousness. Now Christians, Christ Jesus testifies that he had much more to tell the Apostles, but that they could not yet bear it. Truly, the Apostles had to go through the crucifixion, the death and the resurrection, and then the receiving of the Holy Spirit. Consider this Christians: the Apostles were not waiting around for Jesus to rise from the dead; rather, they were astonished when Mary Magdalene came to them and told them, the Lord has Risen; they did not believe her! So, when the Apostles finally came to the realization that Christ Jesus indeed had risen, their very nature began to change. Consider how many times, at least eighteen different times – some explicit while others implicit, they testified something like this: these things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. So yes, the Apostles were born from God and they became new creatures, a new man. Still, yet, in another realization have we yet understood what the Christ meant when he testified: fear not daughters of Zion: behold, the King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. Again, do we understand the truth of what Christ Jesus says, behold, I will be with you now and until the end of this age, but truly also Jesus departed to go and be seated at the right hand of God the Heavenly Father. Now Christians what these things teach us is that Christ Jesus's Gospel has to be understood -- not checked for humankind inconsistencies. Truly, what we see and understand when the Lord Christ Jesus testifies; fear not daughters of Zion: is that their place is assured in his kingdom: if they repent and believe in the Gospel of spirit and life and that the Lord Christ Jesus is with us now and until the end of the age. Many times the gospel shifts from a literal meaning to a figurative meaning without any warning signs and the writers were depending upon the intelligence of the reader but more so, they were depending on the reader being filled with the Holy Spirit. For the Apostle Paul, saint testifies: "That the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither can it be," and again: "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." So, now when the Lord Jesus tells the daughters of Zion; Jesus knew very well that many would be killed, abused and mishandled and hated – through the time of his waiting and for the time readying to return again and then the judgment of the living and the dead, but these daughters of Zion, those taken out of the world, abused, mishandled and hated, they also if they have repented and believed in Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life are living in the reward of eternal life that Christ Jesus is. Yes, Christians, the Holy Spirit will guide us to the truth of Christ Jesus's Gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of sin and sinfulness: as well, he also will guide us to God the Heavenly Father's truth of the Apostle Paul's letters to the Saints. Truly, Christians, a most important realization about the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth is: he will not speak on his own! Rather, the Holy Spirit testifies and declares of things that are coming. Whereas, this guiding from the Holy Spirit only gives glory to Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit does not give place to the world, nor does it give permission to the sins of the flesh. For Christ Jesus overcame the world and the sins of the flesh, testifying unto us: in the world you will have troubles but be of good cheer! Now even though God owns all – the world believes the things of value are of mammon; whereas, the Apostle John testifies: all that is of the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of God the Heavenly Father, but is of the world. Now Christians, in this testimony from the Book of Acts, the Apostle Paul is in no way complimenting the Athenians nor is he belittling them, which of course they may mistake both of these conditions as such; moreover, they may think he is trying to subvert their culture with idolatry. Still, nothing could be further from the truth: for the Apostle Paul was bringing unto them the Gospel of spirit and life and the true hope of eternal life in Christ Jesus, which of course they may mistake as even as some mistake this truth today. For Christ Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation: for he is the Son of God, God the Heavenly Father the creator of heaven and the earth. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

Of the Seventh Week of Easter

• Acts Acts 20:28-38
• Psalms 68:29-30 & 33-35
• John 17:17
• John 17:11-19
Christians, what is this praying from Jesus Christ for that they may be one, in the same manner as we, God the Father and the Lord Christ Jesus are one! Yes, now and because of Christ Jesus's gospel, we are to be one; being one within Christ Jesus's gospel. Christians, let us also juxtapose another verse that the Lord Christ Jesus testifies: Jesus saying, quoting the truth about marriage from the beginning, as God the Heavenly Father testified, in Genesis, and as it is testified in two of the Gospels: "Therefore a man is to leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." What we realize in this is that the being one, as Christ Jesus and His Father are one -- is a spiritual relationship, and has nothing to do with the flesh. Truly we are one, now, because of the Holy Spirit, and yes, we are one for the words and teachings of Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life. The truth of the word is: that husband and wife are to become one new flesh, one new person, and yes, they are to be one, in spirit -- as Christ Jesus and His Father, our Father, God our Heavenly Father are one. We also must look to the Apostles and see, that they were one with each other, in spirit, as Christ Jesus is one with God the Heavenly Father. The Christ says it this way: Jesus testifies, that he did not pray only for his Apostles and the disciples that were with him, in the present, but also for all disciples who remain in his word, continue in his word – becoming disciples because of the word, knowing the truth and being free because of Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life. Again, Jesus testifies, he prays that they (his disciples) may be one; as He and God the Heavenly Father are one – this being a spiritual relationship, and has nothing to do with the flesh. Then Jesus prays further; that we, (His disciples) that we also may be one with God the Heavenly Father and the Lord Christ Jesus; and then there is the why, the Lord Jesus prays this to God the Heavenly Father: and this is so that the world may believe that God the Heavenly Father sent the Lord Christ Jesus as the Messiah Christ. Now, Christians, the Lord Christ Jesus says these interesting things, and they allude to then and now: the then being, while Jesus was in the flesh and doing his ministry, and protecting the Apostles and disciples: the now being: while we have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit, so that Christ Jesus's gospel of spirit and life will be brought to our hearts and minds. Then, because of remembering Christ Jesus's testimony and choosing to live in accordance with it, we may build our lives on Christ Jesus's Gospel: a solid foundation that will withstand and prevail all the storms of life. Now Christians, another way that we build our lives is this, as the Lord Jesus Christ testifies: sanctify them through your truth, thou Lord God the creator of the heavens and the earth; yes, God your word is truth! Yes, Lord Christ Jesus your word is truth; therefore, consecrate us in the Gospel of spirit and life, thou Holy Spirit. Yes, sanctify us in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ; God's word is truth. Now Christians, here again, let us learn to understand what the Gospel of the Lord Christ Jesus is teaching! Christians, we are to bring all of our imagination, every thought, under the authority of the Lord Christ Jesus's words of spirit and life, so that we may share in the Lord Christ Jesus's joy, and also, his peace: a joy that is complete and a peace that goes beyond all understanding. Now Christians, immediately, brace yourselves for this; henceforth, this is the truth that the flesh finds difficult to realize; Jesus testifies: that he gave them God the Heavenly Father's words and teachings, and because of this the world hated them. Now Christians, why does the world hate them; it is because, we do not belong to the world any more than the Lord Christ Jesus did belong to the world. Now Christians, this next line from this Gospel reading is especially insightful: for it is testifying of – not only our lives in this world, but our lives that will come -- when we are rewarded for our deeds; whether our deeds be of Christ Jesus's goodness or of the things God the Lord Christ Jesus has called sin. To understand: Jesus did not pray that we would be taken from our light burden and are easy yoke, and truthfully, we know that the Gospel of spirit and life reproves us for our eternal reward. Therefore, we see that the Lord Christ Jesus prayed that we would be delivered from evil, and yes, we pray this too, every time we pray the Lord's prayer: lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Therefore, Christians, let us not make this complicated; we know, what is evil according to God the Heavenly Father's word: God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their evil; God destroyed the evil that was on the earth during Noah's time, and it was of the same likes; and God did cause the dispersion to happen; saying, Jerusalem was worse than her sisters: Sodom and Samaria. Now Christians, in this next moment, ask yourselves; did the Lord Christ Jesus give the Apostle Peter the power and authority to rewrite God's word? What are the keys to the kingdom; whereas, what may the Apostle Peter bound or loose? This is what the Apostle Peter may say: yes, this is a true turning away from sin, a true repentance or he may say, no, this is not a true turning away from sin, but instead is the embracing of sin. Remember, Christ Jesus said: flesh and blood did not reveal this to you Peter; whereas, Jesus Christ was testifying that it was the Holy Spirit of God the Heavenly Father that revealed this to the Apostle Peter. Then Christians, Jesus Christ says this: that on this Rock, He will build His Church; meaning, the Holy Spirit, which is a rock or stone that will break us, if it falls on us and if this stone or rock falls upon us, we will be ground into powder. Then, that which was revealed to Peter, by God the Heavenly Father through the spirit this then is what God, the Lord Christ Jesus will build his Church upon: that being the Rock of the Holy Spirit. Moreover, since, the Apostle Peter did have the blessing of the keys to the kingdom to loose and bind, but this does not mean that Peter himself was free from judgment any more than the High Priests, that God the Heavenly Father did love from the first covenant with humankind made through Abraham. Now, the sins of the flesh are revealed to us by the Law of Moses and being as God the Heavenly Father is the same today as he was yesterday, and Christ Jesus and God the Heavenly Father are one, we know what God called sin in Moses' time is what Christ Jesus calls sin here and now. Truly, this is the gift of Christ Jesus: the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Yes, Christians, John the Baptist testifies: behold, the one who takes away the sin of the world. Still, Jesus Christ said of the Pharisees; you will die in your sins. Moreover, Jesus will come to judge us, every person according to our works: to those who have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and to those who have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Again, this good and evil is not defined by the world, but is defined by the word of God! Yes, Christians, repent and believe in the Gospel of the Lord Christ Jesus, the Gospel of spirit and life, for the kingdom of heaven stands before us and the time is near. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

Of the eighth Week in Ordinary Time

• 1 Peter 1:18-23
• Psalms 147:12-15 & 19-20
• Mark 10:45
• Mark 10:32-45
Christians, when we read what the Lord Christ Jesus prophesied, about the time directly after his resurrection from the dead and the ascension into heaven, Jesus saying: there is no man that has left a house, or brethren, or sisters, or father or mother or wife or children, or lands, for His sake and for the sake of His Gospel, that will not receive a hundredfold, now, in this time: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers and children, and lands, with persecutions; and then in the world to come -- eternal life. Christians, a couple things to consider here and as well, things that are left without consideration too; nonetheless, when Jesus is testifying about leaving father and mother and then receiving a new father and mother – this is a spiritual reality, and not the physical reality of a new father and mother, which is an impossibility: no matter how partial a person may feel toward a people, we have only one father and mother. Yet, we can, may, and should look at our father and mother with new eyes, and thus, they too will be born again as a new father and mother. As well, Christians this second part needs faithful considerations: the blessing of lands and wealth will be an abundant life; however, whatever you do, do not read past the entirety of this text. For the Lord Christ Jesus clearly testifies that these things we will receive, will also be received with persecutions. So now also see, there is none of this worldly peace that some covet. Rather the reality of truth is being in the faith of loving our neighbor as we love ourselves. Truly, people covet because they are empty inside and not loving their neighbor as they love themselves, and then because of this disobedience of faith, they are tempted and wrongly believe: if they may control others, and things, that they will be satisfied. Still, what they covet is not what the soul needs: for any type of covetous control that prevents a person from living and achieving their God given ability and talent -- talents and abilities within and according to the spirit of life and truth -- is a sin, as is all covetous a sin. Now Christians, as we move further into this reading, let us juxtapose two verses, Jesus says: to sit on his right hand or his left hand is not his to give – yet we also read: all authority in the heaven and on the earth has been given to the Lord Christ Jesus. So here again, we must seek understanding and not blasphemy by speaking as though the Scripture were inconsistent. Truly Christians, the likely thing that this is testifying is this: when Jesus says all power and authority has been given to him in heaven and on the earth, this is a specific thing even though it is prefaced with the adjective all; therefore, it is our understanding, which is incorrect, and not the testimony. In other words, we may say this: God the Heavenly Father retains certain rights that are not a part of the Son's, the Lord Christ Jesus's testimony; whereas, Jesus having all authority to judge, rule, save, forgive, command, and commission. Yet, this not his to give statement is -- not a limitation of Christ Jesus's power, but is a distinction of the roles within the Trinity. Now Christians, as we move next to these testimonies from the Apostle Peter, we read that we are redeemed because of Christ Jesus's blood, His precious blood, and His crucifixion and His resurrection from the dead and not by corruptible things, as silver and gold; moreover, that we were redeemed from our vain conversations that were received by tradition from our fathers. Therefore, since we were redeemed from the vanities of our vain conversations; let us now seek the Righteousness of God's commandments, and the way we do this is: by walking after the spirit and not the flesh. Yes, Christians, let us truly walk after and seek the meats that will endure unto everlasting life not the meats that perishes. For again, it was not by silver or gold or vain conversations that we were redeemed, but it is by and through the precious blood of the Lord Christ Jesus. Truly, the vain conversations that pass between people and also the vain conversation of idolatrous ideas -- of escaping too far and distant galaxies does not give credit rightly to the fullness of the truth of creation. For we know that Christ Jesus prophesied through his disciples that God the Heavenly Father will fold up the universe like a tired garment; moreover, all the theories, accidents, cosmic chance, or a self-creating universe are also of idolatry. We are not to covet ideas, but are to live in the fullness of the light, the light who came into the world -- namely, the Lord Jesus Christ, which is also a gospel to the fulfillment of the eternal. Yes, Christians, the Lord Jesus Christ who is the spotless unblemished lamb. Now Christians, some of the Pharisees, Sadducees and scribes found it difficult to believe what the Apostle Peter testifies: that Christ Jesus was foreordained even before the foundation of the world. Yet, in these last days, God did not talk to us through prophets as he did in the Old Testament, but he testified unto us by His Son; truly, we are now saved by the Son of God, the Lord Christ Jesus. Yes, Christians, it testifies in the Gospel of John that some of the Pharisees believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, but that they did not confess him in fear of being put out of the synagogue. Now Christians, the word clarifies this action of behavior as people who love the praise of men more than the praise of God. As well, we may consider this kind of behavior by the Pharisees and remember Christ Jesus's teaching: the person who loves their life shall lose it; and the person who hates their life in this world shall keep it unto eternal life. Therefore, if we apply this testimony -- building a foundation unto eternal life -- the Pharisees who said they believed, in Christ Jesus, but refused to confess: were walking in fear and not faith. In other words, these Pharisees who said they believed in the Lord Christ Jesus were loving their life in this world and choosing their life in this world -- and they made this choice because of the lachatz, (the external coercion and the inward fear) they were living under, born from the self-deception of the other Pharisees' social conventions of that time and day. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus let us pray and be thankful. Amen.
