Of the Twenty-second Week in Ordinary Time

• Luke 4:38-44 Christians, the Lord Jesus Christ was sent by his Father, God the creator of heaven and the earth with the gospel of spirit and life and with the power to raise the dead, heal the lame, give sight to the blind and to bring eternal life to has many as God the Heavenly Father gave unto him. Truly, Christians, this is life eternal, that we might know the Lord the only true God, and also to know the Lord Jesus Christ, he who was sent unto humankind to bring the gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of sin. Now this magnificent thing that is eternal life is so we will know God the Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ; truly, the Lord Jesus testifies – so that we may be one; as you, Heavenly Father are in the Lord Jesus and as Jesus is in you God the Heavenly Father. And yes Christians, so that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that God the Heavenly Father did send the Lord Jesus unto humankind. Now, it may cross our minds that this is not such a big thing to know God, and this may very well be the fiery darts of the tempter — trying to corrupt our spiritual-conscience-relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yet, being as this is Christ Jesus testifying, in the Gospel of John — making a clear point, of this being one with God, and that to know God is eternal life, we must default to the fact that it is of the most importance! When we do this meditation, we realize that it is the same way with God's word: for all throughout the Old Testament, we see God saying keep my covenant, keep my word – not to the right of it nor to the left of it. Furthermore, the Lord Jesus testifies, the person that hears these sayings of His and does them is liken to a wise man – building their house on the rock of the Holy Spirit and the Gospel of spirit and life. Again, in contrast, Jesus testifies that the person who hears these sayings of the Gospel of spirit and life, and does not do them is liken to a foolish person – building their house on sand. Now, as we know God the Heavenly Father sent many prophets unto the Israelites, so that they may turn from their sins and keep his word. Yet, although there were some who kept his word, many turned away from God, but God did keep His covenant with the Israelites, which is comprised of both blessings and curses and so too is the New Testament comprised of these same blessings and curses, but too a much more higher degree. For now, they are eternal consequences; for not keeping the words and teachings of the Lord Christ Jesus, that is, repenting and believing in the gospel of spirit and life. We have examples of these disobedient fruits all throughout today's society. The most glaring example is: women who say they believe in Jesus Christ and his Gospel of spirit and life, but their first act of their belief is being disobedient: by supplanting the Gospel of Christ Jesus and the Apostle Paul's testimony – likely saying Paul is a man and therefore who can trust him – and then these women through disobedience to Christ Jesus's gospel become priests, bishops, or archbishops. Now this is not to say that women are not to be ministers of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; for they most certainly are ministers of Jesus's gospel, just not priests. Women live the gospel; they teach it to their children; they talk about it with their husbands; they share the gospel among other women; they share it with all society; they preach it in public; still, they are not supposed to be priest. Christians, we see these examples in the Acts of the Apostles, with Priscilla and her husband Aquila; whereas, Luke expresses the prominence of Priscilla being the witness, while Aquila was in the background likely directing and commenting. Yet, Priscilla is not a priest nor a bishop nor an archbishop. Furthermore, the Apostle Paul testifies that women are to keep silent in the church, they are not to be priests but disciples, and disciples are servants of the Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel. Yet, again, we have the Apostle Paul telling us that a woman is to be submissive to their husband, but in no way does this mean that the woman counts for less than the man and in no way is the woman a slave to her husband. For the Lord Jesus testifies that two are to become one in marriage and cleave to each other. This cleave is the most interesting description because it is saying that the husband and wife are to cut themselves loose from who they were before, and then where this open cut is, they are to be healed and as husband and wife, they are to be two becoming one. Moreover, the Apostle Paul testifies unto us that there is neither Greek nor Jew, neither bond or free, there is neither male nor female for we are all one in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, since we are now grafted into Abraham we are heirs of the promise and that means also the blessings and the curses; it also means that now in Christ Jesus both male and female, both Greek and Jew, and both bond and free are equally responsible to repenting of their own sins and sinfulness, and working out their own salvation, which means we are all equally responsible for being good shepherds and equally responsible for keeping Christ Jesus's Gospel of spirit and life in truth and in righteousness. So, yes, Christians when we do this meditation, we understand that our salvation is about keeping God the Heavenly Father's gospel in righteousness and in faithfulness: in other words, it is about abiding and remaining and continuing in the words and teachings that the Lord Jesus Christ did bring to us, and when we do these, then we will be Christ Jesus's disciples; we will know the truth and the truth will set us free. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

• Luke 6:20-26 Christians, the Lord Jesus testifies that blessed are those who are poor, for the Kingdom of God is yours: what the Lord Jesus did not say: I am going to get mine; I am going to step over you — if you get in my way, I will push you aside and treat you as dirt, and consider you as insignificant. Therefore, we may see that being poor is not a situation of economics — as the Lord Jesus testifies here in His gospel, but that it — being poor – is a situation that we are to learn from in accordance with Christ Jesus's gospel. Jesus himself saying, learn from me: take my yoke upon yourselves; for the Lord Jesus teaches us that he is meek and lowly in heart: and that our souls find rest in His gospel of spirit and life. Truly Christians, we only have to consider the reality of the world to see the truth of what the Lord Jesus is testifying. For we know that many individuals who are poor – not in need, but are full of covetous that they act out like savages at times: being a disgrace to life and the goodness that they were created to be. Yet, again, we also know from the world that many individuals who are wealthy are generous and gentle people, and always working to do what is right and good in the eyes of the Lord God our Heavenly Father. Still, let us not be remiss in this discussion one iota. For there are poor people, economically poor people that are gentle, good, honest, low of heart and meek. And again, we also know that there are rich people: who use their wealth to cover up the most perversive crimes against children; that use their wealth to cause hardships in society; and there are rich people who have no goodness in them whatsoever and are rotten trees. Now Christians, when we consider this Beatitude in Luke, "Blessed are you are poor, for the kingdom of God is yours:" do not let the world hoodwink you, neither let them pull at your heart strings; and do not be held in the quagmire of — will then — what do we do: with the poor, the illegal immigrant; those who are idle; those who abuse the system — believing it is their very right to cheat, rob, and steal just because that is what they have always done. Rather, if someone is hungry let us bring them something to eat, but not for their entire lifetime, but along with their daily bread, let us bring them opportunity to provide for themselves in the things that they can do. The illegal immigrant, they must be sent back to their home countries for it is the just and completeness of doing justice to do this returning of those who have come to a country illegally. We can, if they need help to get back on their feet in their own cultures, help them, but do not come to a culture that is foreign to them, and that causes hardships on the native populations; none of these things being an exact science but being a proper method to learn and hope. To those who cheat, rob, and play the system because that is what they always do, it is high time that they be brought to justice: for whether we are rich or poor, we must do a proper and complete justice. Now, Christians, this next Beatitude is something that also has many levels and depth of meanings and is not simply empty of the complete spirituality, and as the Apostle Paul testifies the deep things of God. For we should realize that when Jesus Christ speak this beatitude, it is of a like manner when God the Heavenly Father says to Ezekiel, I the Lord have spoken and I will do it. So, the beatitude as are all beatitudes is the new condition that Christ Jesus has caused and put into effect. Now, let us not indulge this with thinkings of doing illegal things against the citizen, so as to fulfill God's word, but rather, let us live God's word according to how the Lord Christ Jesus did give and bring unto us, and then these things will come to pass. As too, will the curse that Jesus spoke come to pass: woe to you who laugh now, for you will grieve and weep. Still, Christians, in the same depth of the spirituality of God — this grieving and weeping is much more significant than the grief we may feel for the loss of a loved one and the weeping is much more than for the loss. Truly, when we consider this woe that the Lord Christ Jesus did pronounce of humankind, we must realize it is in the same manner as the weeping and the gnashing of teeth that Jesus testifies to when he says: that many shall come from the east and the west and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness: there shall be weeping and the gnashing of teeth; this then is the woes that Jesus is referring to. Again and still, we may also learn from the blessing and curses that the first covenant of God, had with the Israelite people. For basically it states that if they keep his word that his hand will keep the enemies away from them, and these enemies in those days were basically children of the evil one known as Baal. Well Christians, what we all should know, the Israelites were faithful at times and unfaithful at other times, but that it came to the point, that God kept his covenant even though the people did not keep theirs. And so too will the Lord Christ Jesus's covenant come to pass: as too will his blessings and woes come to pass and be. Perhaps, not on the micro level, but on the macro level most certainly. Again, God and Jesus Christ are is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Moreover, as the Prophet Isaiah testifies: so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: His word shall not return unto Him void, but it will accomplish that which pleases God, and God's word shall prosper in the things to where God did send his word. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

• Luke 7:31-33 Christians, Jesus compares the generation to whom he is addressing! Now, since, we too are of the generation of the Lord Christ Jesus — not only the next generation of a family descendant, but we too are also among those that do not dance to the truth of Christ Jesus's gospel. Rather, we are like the certain rich man in one of Christ Jesus's parables. In this parable a rich man has been condemned in eternity. Now, he sees Lazarus and Abraham on the other side of the unpassable divide, and calls to him for mercy, but mercy had already been given, to the rich man, before he found himself condemned; however, he would not listen to the mercy nor to the warnings, and neither would he repent of his sinful doings. The rich man pleads with Abraham for a tongue full of cool water, but such things do not exist in the place of eternal torment and flames. Abraham reminds the certain rich man of Lazarus, saying: you had your life to live in Christ Jesus's way, truth, and life, but you chose the wisdom of the world, for you preferred it even though the foolishness of God is greater than the wisdom of men. Therefore, your blasphemy and blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was written down and you were rewarded rightly. Then the rich man realizing the finality and the eternity of his doings: meaning the rich man realized he was not living in accordance with God's word, begs Abraham to send a message to his brethren so they will repent. To this Abraham says, again, mercy and warning have been issued unto you and they are sufficient – meaning the gospel of spirit and life was given to humankind and there will be no more warnings. For now Christians is the time of judgement of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out, along with the children of this wicked one. Yes, Christians, we are like the children who sit in the market place and call to one another; however, instead of calling to one another, about this and about that, we should have been weeping for the dirge that was sung, unto us, and we should have danced in the joy, life, and spirit of the Lord Christ Jesus's gospel; rather than setting Christ Jesus's words and teachings aside and picking up a doctrine of men, which is to be accursed according to the Apostle Paul. Now Christians, Saint Paul, Apostle did give unto us clear and unretractable warning in regard to the doings of some, saying: for the invisible things of God from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even God's eternal power and Godhead: so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, and neither were they thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. They changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like the corruptible man. Yes, truly Christians, they change the glory of the uncorruptible God into a man that takes up the ways of Satan, the father of all lies: for they lie to the left as easily as they lie to the right. Consider this: John was said to be possessed by a demon because they did not want to credit John the Baptist with the truth that he was testifying: and again, they called the Lord Jesus Christ a glutton and drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners because they did not want to acknowledge the Nazarene Jesus was testifying to the truth of God the Heavenly Father. Therefore even though both Jesus and John the Baptist did testify the truth of God the Heavenly Father's creation, God's word of spirit and life, and God's covenant with humankind, some refused to hear this testimony and preferred the lies of their father, the father of all lies the devil. Now Christians, as we move forward into this gospel of spirit and life, we must consider the testimony of Saint Paul, Apostle to the Corinthians with all candor of the human condition. But first, be reminded of these three states of being: the animal kingdom, the spirit filled person, and third, the man of the flesh. One the animal kingdom is without freewill, doing all things by instinct; second, being in the spirit and reborn in Christ Jesus – meaning as a person who is in the spirit, the Holy Spirit, we are able to discern both the carnal mind and also receive the spiritual things of God; and the third condition or state of being is, the person who is only of the carnal mind, and cannot perceive nor receive the spiritual things of God. So now with this candor and frankness let us consider what Saint Paul, Apostle is testifying. He says that yes strive for the greatest spiritual gifts, but that he will show us a more excellent way. Truly, we must realize and be honest with ourselves; for there is a sort of fascination with speaking in tongues. Moreover, when the first disciples and even unto this day, first heard of this speaking in tongues it was coveted, almost as a novelty, rather than the blessing that God the Heavenly Father meant it and gave it to the Apostles on that first day of Pentecost. Now, the most excellent way is this, Saint Paul, Apostle is testifying that he would rather testify five words, with his own understanding, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue, and Christians, let us not miss this important detail. For the five words that Saint Paul, Apostle is testifying to are five words in accordance with Christ Jesus's gospel of spirit and life. Truly, the more we consider God's teachings, the more we realize that it is about humankind finding the truth and the truth is the Lord Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus Christ is the word made flesh. The Bible is the word of God. Christians, we are to be living according to God's word not the doctrine of men; moreover, we cannot even say that they are well meaning, for they supplant God's word with their church doctrine and even in places contradict God's word, and this contradicting of God's word is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. So yes, Christians let us love with patience, with kindness and not being jealous neither being pompous, but most importantly, let us love God the Heavenly Father in all faithfulness, remembering Jeremiah the Prophet when he testifies: cursed be the person that does the work of God the Heavenly Father deceitfully, and cursed be he that keeps back his sword from blood. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ let us pray and be thankful. Amen.

• Luke 9:1-6 Christians, the twelve Apostles had power and authority over all demons to cast out and power to cure diseases. However, the church of men had strayed away from following Christ Jesus's gospel, choosing their doctrine of partiality, and because of this, Saint Thomas Aquinas in the 13th Century A.D. said to the current Pope, Innocent IV "No longer can the Church say, 'Silver and gold have I none." "Rise, take up your bed and walk." In other words, Saint Thomas Aquinas said, "Silver and gold we do not lack are treasuries are full, but we can no longer heal the sick;" this marking a period of the church turning from serving God to serving mammon but still pretending — as in giving lip-service to Christ Jesus and his Church. Still, in all of this Christians, let us remember that Christ Jesus did not build his Church upon men, but on the Holy Spirit. Jesus the Lord and Christ said that the gates of hell will not prevail against his Church. For Christ Jesus is the head of the Church and he as already overcome hell, Jesus has already judge Satan, saying: condemnation, because the prince of this world is judged and condemnation has come upon him. Therefore, Christians realize that Jesus Christ the Risen Savior is the head of his Church and that all the clergy and all the laity make up the body of Christ Jesus, which is the Church. Moreover, within both the clergy and the laity there are individuals who do not believe in Jesus the Christ and savior, but believe in man's church. Now, continuing in the gospel testimony: when Jesus the Lord and Messiah gave instructions to the Apostles how to proceed, when he first gave them power over demons and to cure diseases, Jesus told them: "Take nothing on your journey with you: neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money; and let no one take a second tunic," but the Lord Jesus Christ also told them later; although when you first went out with no extra tunic, no purse, no walking stick, you lacked for nothing, but now I tell you, "To sell your tunic and buy a sword," this showing the Apostles how their mission in the world was changing. Christians, the Apostles' mission changed from being directly under the protection of the Lord Christ Jesus: to being united with the Holy Spirit in oneness with Christ Jesus and God the Heavenly Father. So, Christians, then we read something that the modern church seems to have completely ignored, but it is a direct command to the Apostles from the Lord Jesus Christ. Furthermore, this is not a command to welcome the Apostles into a person's house, for a party and pretending everything is just wonderful: let us get drunk, be immoral, and do Sodomy and Gomorrah. Rather, this command from the Lord Jesus Christ is, if the Apostles were welcomed and Christ Jesus's gospel was welcomed; and the words and teachings of the Lord Christ Jesus were welcomed, stay in that house and leave from that house. Yet, the people who did not welcome Christ Jesus's disciples and Apostles nor the gospel of spirit and life that the Apostles brought to that house, the Apostles were to shake the dust from their feet as testimony against them. Moreover, in the gospel of Matthew this same account of Christ Jesus's Apostles is summed up with Christ Jesus's warning against such people: verily the Lord Christ Jesus says unto you. It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city that the Apostles' shook the dust from their feet. Next, Christians, we see the Lord Christ Jesus testifying that behold, he sent his Apostles and disciples forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, saying to them: be as wise as serpents and as harmful as doves. So, again, there is not this everybody welcome theme that some modern-day church pretends, and truly Christians, we know with certainty that there are still wolves in our midst. So, yes, Christians, we are to proclaim Christ Jesus's Gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of sin to every village, to every town, to every city, to every state, to every country, and unto the entire world, for every knee should bow of the things of heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Now Christians, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ let us pray and be thankful. Amen.
